A farm with an on-site butcher shop forms the foundation of our company history—shaped by craftsmanship, grounded values, and genuine expertise in meat.

1989

Hülshorst Begins as a Butchery Operation
Master butcher Hubert Hülshorst laid the foundation for the company. With a clear vision, artisanal experience, and a strong commitment to quality, the journey began from a regional butchery to a modern producer.

1991–1995

Entering the Convenience World
Product variety expanded: the first convenience solutions were developed to simplify operations in large-scale kitchens, setting new standards for quality and processing. Hülshorst became a sought-after partner for large-scale consumers.

1996

New Building
The first company expansion to accommodate growth. This new building also enabled EU approval.

2006

Breakthrough with Schnitzel & Co.
With the introduction of in-house schnitzel and portioning lines, a new chapter began. High production capacities, secure processes, and consistent quality established Hülshorst as a strong partner in meat convenience.

2019

Major Production Expansion
A comprehensive renovation, including state-of-the-art energy and refrigeration technology, significantly increased capacity, efficiency, and sustainability. The site became one of the most technologically advanced convenience facilities in Europe.

2022

New Meat Shipping Area
A generous extension of the meat cold storage and shipping area, including four truck ramps, created the space needed for more efficient operations. Green roofing and photovoltaic systems created the ideal environmental conditions.

2023

Storage Expansion
An additional 1,800 freezer storage spaces and 550 spaces for packaging materials increased flexibility even further. With a total of 3,400 storage spaces, we can serve our customers daily with our full product range—including pre-sorted pallets.

2025 - Present

Powerful, Innovative, and Future-Oriented
With modern technology, in-house butchery, all cooking methods, I.Q.F. expertise, and a strong team, Hülshorst is better positioned than ever. Every day, we create solutions for professional kitchens that are safe, flexible, and reliable.
